The 21-year-old bounced back from a miserable start to get ahead of Ferrari young gun Charles Leclerc late on and deliver a mighty impressive victory at sunny Spielberg. He was in a league of his own late on, securing Red Bull’s first win of the season in the process, as Leclerc suffered a heartbreaking finale to this entertaining showdown. Valtteri Bottas completed the podium but it was a tough race for Mercedes, with Hamilton missing out on a top-three finish.
