Chelsea loanee's big wages given to team-mates amid chaos at Dutch club

Chelsea loanee Ike Ugbo 'was not paid his £38,000-a-month wages by Dutch club Roda JC' amid fan protests against their hated Mexican investor. The coaches at the Kerkrade-based club, who played in the Eredivisie until relegation last season, reportedly decided it was better to have one angry big earner than a team of players disgruntled at Ugbo. But the real issue is with investor Garcia de la Vega, who purchased the shares of the local Limburg businessman Frits Schrouff in the summer. The Dutch Football Association, the KNVB, are looking into the situation at Roda.  Ugbo, who hails from Lewisham in London, joined Chelsea at under-10 level before working his way through the youth ranks.
