This is what Buckingham Palace could look like if it got a modern makeover

The Queen’s house, Buckingham Palace, is currently undergoing refurbishment and as a consequence a building firm have given Her Majesty a glimpse of what one of her favourite rooms would look like if it had a more modern makeover. House Builders, David Wilson Homes, have created five very different designs for the White Drawing Room, where the Queen famously broadcasts her Christmas speech from every year, on the off chance that the Royal Family might be up for a change. The styles are wholly mono-thematic drawing on one period of influence, and they range from the pure and clean look of ‘Scandi Style’ to the seductive and dimly lit glamour of ‘Art Deco Indulgence.’ A spokesman for the company said: “Ever wondered what Buckingham Palace would look like with modern interior? The Memphis movement dates backs to the 1980s and is a radical and playful style that is full of clashing colours, blocky shapes and loud patterning; perfect for a lightening up a royal engagement.
