Charles &Camilla share highlights of the past 10 years including his 70th birthday celebrations alongside Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as they wish followers a Happy New Year

Taking to their Clarence House Instagram account, Prince Charles, 71, and Camilla, 72, posted a compilation video of their most notable moments over the past 10 years. The Duchess has also carried out joint engagements with the Queen and in November hosted a reception on behalf of the monarch for the Commonwealth Essay competition. On Charles and Camilla's seventh wedding anniversary in 2012, the Queen made the Duchess a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO) - a personal seal of approval from the monarch. In 2013, Camilla made her first ever appearance at the State Opening of Parliament wearing a glamorous champagne silk and lace Bruce Oldfield gown. The Duchess, whose presence was seen as a boost for Charles, topped that with the Queen Mother's priceless Boucheron tiara and the Dame Grand Cross of the Victoria Order sash. Camilla slowly took on a more prominent position. She sat next to the Queen in her Diamond Jubilee carriage procession in 2012 and attended her first State Opening of Parliament in 2013 – moves that would have been unthinkable a decade earlier. She was made a Privy Counsellor on the Queen’s official 90th birthday, meaning she will be permitted to be at Charles’s side during the Accession Council which takes place following the death of a sovereign.
