Belfast pair to exercise for 24 hours without rest to raise funds for NHS

Ciaran Breslin, from Glengormley, and Jack Norris from, the Antrim Road, will be working out on Saturday for a full day without rest and plan to raise at least £2,000 to be donated to various NHS charities. Ciaran, an App Security specialist and part-time MMA fighter, told Belfast Live the pair wanted to do what they could to help those working on the front line in the fight against Covid-19. “With only being allowed out once a day, we will get one longer walk in and the rest of the time will be split up into spinning, the cross trainer, punch bags and some resistance training.” “We need to mix it up a bit so we don’t get too bored. “We don’t have anything crazy in mind, but we reset it at £2,000 so if we can get that we will be happy.” Ciaran added the 24 hours of continuous exercise would be nothing in comparison to the effort put in by frontline NHS staff. “We obviously don’t know anything medical so we thought we wanted to do anything we can to just raise a bit of money for these people.” Gallery: Heroes of the coronavirus pandemic (Photos) Since the beginning of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, doctors, nurses and paramedics have been working round the clock while risking their lives, along with many unsung heroes such as the grocery store workers, truck drivers and workers in the sanitation department.
