Man, 21, in hospital after terrifying machete attack

Emergency services were scrambled to a home on Equitable Street following reports a 21-year-old man had been stabbed. The victim was walking along Littlemoor Lane towards Shewsbury Street when he was confronted by a man, armed with a machete, on Tuesday, April 21. Detective Constable Deborah Green of GMP’s Oldham District said: “This was a nasty assault and the victim is lucky that the injuries sustained are not more serious. “While there is a limited description of the offender, the incident happened in a residential area during good weather and while it was still light.
