Global pandemics aside, the team behind No Time to Die have overcome countless roadblocks in the build-up to release, from production delays to directorial departures to script re-hauls to ankle injuries. The studio has so far raked in million in rental fees from releasing the new Trolls: World Tour on streaming platforms such as Sky and Apple TV, and now plans to do the same with its upcoming movie line-up, even when the coronaviruslockdown ends and cinemas are back in business. Meanwhile, chief of the National Association of Theatre Owners John Fithian accused the company of using the pandemic “as a springboard to bypass true theatrical releases”.
