How changes at Heathrow Airport could affect your travel

The nation is in its seventh week of lockdown, and as summer approaches people are itching to go outside and get some normality back in their lives. As is the case in any public place, Heathrow will likely continue practising safe social distancing for a while yet. Similarly to the practice for many offices and workplaces, it's likely that both Heathrow Airport and the planes that operate from there will have stringent cleaning and disinfecting processes in place. Masks are not currently compulsory for members of the public to wear when outside, but they are highly advised. It's uncertain whether this will actually be enforced but it's likely that everyone, staff and passengers alike, will be encouraged to wear masks to protect themselves and other people. Planes may have lost a lot of money from cancelled flights, but they probably won't be full up for a while.
