No new coronavirus cases confirmed in Bolton for the first time in months

Trafford was the only other area of Greater Manchester to not see a rise in confirmed cases yesterday, with the total number of people infected by the disease around the region increasing by 52 to reach 9,748. The 1,001 confirmed cases in the town means there is an infection rate of around 351 positive tests per 100,000 of the population, which is the sixth highest among the ten Greater Manchester boroughs. Figures released this week by the Office of National Statistics roughly 2,500 people have died of coronavirus-related conditions around Greater Manchester.
