These six tips will have your bathroom sparkling in no time

Whether you live alone or share a house with others, it's vital to keep your bathroom clean to avoid a build-up of limescale, grime, and bacteria. If you have a granite sink, ensure you opt for a gentle cleaning method to protect its surface. Depending on how many people you have in your household, clean your bath and basin thoroughly at least every few days to remove a build-up of grime. Once you've mixed the solution together, simply rub gently on the stained areas — you'll be amazed at the results! Tip: If you're considering installing a new bathroom in the future, consider large format tiles or a mega slab for your walls to reduce the grout problem even further. RAK Ceramics also suggest: 'Use white vinegar to clean a glass screen and if you've got a shower curtain instead, pop it in the washing machine regularly.' For a natural solution to tackle limescale, pour some white vinegar onto a cotton pad and gently wipe around the tap. 'As well as keeping the inside of the toilet bowl clean and germ-free, pay attention to the outside too, wiping it down with an all-purpose bathroom cleaner,' explain the RAK Ceramics team. If you don't have space for a box or basket, alternatively, hide your essentials in a bathroom cabinet – but ensure this doesn't become a dumping ground for excess andunused toiletries.
