Coronavirus: Travel quarantine rules to relax for some countries

UK officials are currently in talks with Portugal, France, Italy, Greece and Spain over the lifting of the 14-day quarantine rule. Currently anyone arriving in England, Wales and Northern Ireland could face a fine of £1,000 (.88) if they fail to self-isolate for the full 14 days. Airlines have heavily criticised the 14-day quarantine rule, claiming it is exacerbating pressure on the aviation industry, leading to greater job losses.
