Fortnite Season 3 Splashdown: Aquaman, patch notes, new map and more

Not only is the new battle pass packed full of fun cosmetics like an Aquaman skin and the ability to create your own umbrella glider, but the map has had a drastic change. Epic Games isn't in the business of handing out patch notes for Battle Royale any more, for some reason or another, so we're only able to go off player reports and the official Fortnite website. At first blush, it seems the main new content added to the game is as follows: The island has been dramatically changed since the event, bringing in a torrential downpour which has swallowed a lot of the land. The battle pass has added a bunch of new cosmetics, including a special Aquaman skin. Aquaman's skin operates in the same way as the Deadpool cosmetic did last season, whereby you'll have to do special weekly challenges to eventually unlock it after having bought the battle pass. You use gliders to drop into the map from the Battle Bus and this will let players add their own flare to their characters. One of the mechanics introduced last season was Mythic Weapons, and it appears they are back again There are also new NPC enemies in the game, adding more PvE elements to the battle royale. Fixed an issue where a crash occurs when players try to get into a featured island match using a matchmaking portal.
