Given that he only made one appearance in 2020 before the lockdown, it’s safe to assume that Shaqiri wouldn’t have started the Derby, but with more substitutes allowed in the match day squad, he likely would have been on the bench and with Klopp being able to bring on five players, he may well have called upon the Swiss forward at Goodison.
