‘Boutique’ hotel planned for above Turtle Bay in Swansea city centre

Developers proposals to provide fifty beds in dormitory-style pod accommodation and four, private hotel-style double-rooms, do not include any external alterations. The proposed project was supported by a tourist impact assessment which concluded Swansea is likely to experience a lack of bed space particularly following re-generation efforts such as the introduction of a 3,500-capacity digital indoor arena on Oystermouth Road. And it estimated the hostel/hotel would accommodate approximately 13,000 stays per year, with at least £250,000 being spend in local shops, bars and restaurants.
