Five things spotted in Manchester United friendlies vs West Brom as Marcus Rashford dazzles

Rashford came close to scoring twice in the first half of the first friendly, as the goalkeeper and then a goal-line clearance denied him after he had been played in by Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial respectively. Rashford has three goals in four games against Spurs and the signs are positive that he can extend his impressive record against the North London side next week. After playing on the same team together in training on Thursday, the pair linked up for the first friendly against the Baggies and supporters were given an insight into what might be to come as Pogba sprayed an inch-perfect pass to pick out Fernandes in the box. Pogba hasn't featured for United since the win against Newcastle on December 26 but could make his return for against his former manager Jose Mourinho next week. Solskjaer is spoilt for choice with options at the back now Tuanzebe and Bailly are fit again but expect to see Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire pair up next Friday. Solskjaer will now have more options to change the dynamic of a match and players like Pereira and Chong offered food for thought with their performances against the Baggies. Pereira netted a brace in the 3-1 win including a fantastic curling effort from outside the area with his weaker left foot, while he linked up well with Fred for his second goal.
